So, I looked under the local admin account (which worked for this profile, as the firewalls were not blocking anything). Same for the Network Administrator account.Ĥ) I narrowed it down to a profile issue, since it worked under one but the others on the same computer. Well I found a half-solution, I guess you could call it:ġ) I connected my Windows 7 computer to the outside network (cable modem), logged in under the Local Administrator account and tried to create a new document in Word, where it successfully connected to the Ofiice website to get current templates, etc. How can I fix this? We would like to be able to use the program directly rather than having to use the link in a browser. This occurs on both Office 20 products (2010 is running on Windis running on Windows XP).Īlso, I tried using the computer (under the local admin account) on our public network (like a home network connected by cable modem, using DHCP) and it worked fine also, if that makes any difference. What would cause thisīetween accounts, and FYI, this method did NOT work on 2 other computers (logging in as the local admin).
